And God said to the two bored teenagers, “You shall create a web-comic, a web-comic that shall grow to become known
through-out the universe and all will laugh and be entertained once more.”…..Ok maybe that’s not exactly how it went
down…..though the real story isn’t too different. Bottom line....
We got bored.
Where it began: Back in the middle of April, Matt and I (Jordan the writer) got bored and started to discuss how it would be fun to create a web-comic, since we loved ones like Least I Could Do and Control-Alt-Delete so much. We didn’t exactly lay down the plans at the time; for the most part we just talked about how it would be fun to stick our everyday shenanigans into comic form, but we didn’t expect it to come to fruition. However, about a week later, for one reason or another, I got incredibly inspired to create this comic. So the next day I told Matt that we were going to create the comic or die trying.
Getting an Artist: Though I do draw from time to time (perhaps if you ask me nicely I’ll put something on the site) I do not have the artistic consistency to create a comic. Matt isn’t exactly what you would call an artist (perhaps if you ask him nicely he won’t put something on the site). So long story short, we needed an artist. Thankfully we knew one. Our short little friend Kristen agreed to do the art for the comic and with that the biggest hurdle had been jumped. We now had the bare necessities for a comic.
Getting our web stuffs: Obviously without a snazzy website BCR wouldn’t be much of a web-comic. So we recruited our
buddy, and local hippie, Konrad to get a site up.
That’s pretty much all of the back story there is to Bottle Cap Romance.
